Incorrect skin cleansing is one of the most severe triggers of skin diseases. Here we don't just mean the use of paint thinners or organic solvents, but also the use of cleaning agents which are not suitable for the type and extent of the contamination, and the cleaning effect of which goes over and above the requirements.
In general, the following applies:
- The stronger the cleaning force of the surfactants, the lower the skin compatibility.
- Abrasives reduce protective horny skin through their grinding effect.
This means that the skin has less resistance to outer pollutants. Thinner skin dries out more easily, is more quickly chapped and cracked, and thus promotes consequential damage.
SUMMARY: Cleaning agents must be aligned to the type of dirt, and should be as gentle to the skin as possible. rath’s Clean series facilitates the selection of the right cleaning agent.
